Staring with the customer's ideas and designs, lettering and images are transferred to computer workstations
Plotters driven by the computer work station create the content of the signs on rolls of pressure sensitive vinyl.
After plotting the excess vinyl material is 'weeded away' to reveal the lettering or graphic that has been cut into the vinyl.
Before the vinyl is transferred to the sign surface, a mask is added to keep the elements pre-spaced for easy lay-out and transfer to the final product.
Thermal printing permits a design of multiple colours to be digitally printed onto pressure sensitive vinyl to create a finished product that is water proof and UV resistant
Computer driven routers or engravers can be used to carve lettering and graphics designs into thick stock such as metal or plastics
A final product can be a composite of one or more of these elements of production
